Interview with Mark Muldoon from Kinsale Gourmet.

This is the first in a series of short interviews with the wonderful people behind the Love Irish Food member brands. We were delighted to catch up with Mark Muldoon of Kinsale Gourmet to find out the things he loves.

Food

Living in Kinsale, Co. Cork, I really love fresh fish. My favourite fish is fresh hake, grilled or cooked on the pan. It is wonderfully versatile, from light summer dishes and to warming winter fish pies. It is very healthy too, full of nutrients and high in protein.

Hobby

I love to keep fit. I am lucky to have wonderful scenery and routes on my doorstep. I love to go running outdoors in West Cork. It is so refreshing. runnign

Love Irish Food Product

I have to say I love the Insanely Good Sauces, made locally in West Cork. They use really great fresh ingredients for a really high quality product. The ‘Fresh Cream Pepper Sauce’ is a real treat on with a fillet steak.

Restaurant

I really enjoy a night out in The Black Pig, Kinsale. The food is and the wine list is just excellent!

Place in Ireland

There’s no place quite like The Old Head of Kinsale. What a place! It is just spectacular.OldHeadOfKinsaleCliffs

Taste

Fennel, tomato & chilli. Great flavour combo! Kapow on the tastebuds

Food Memory

Tasting fresh oysters in Dunmore East. It was a special occasion and I will always remember the taste!
