Premier Milk brand was formed in 1966 as a result of a merger
between four large Dublin dairies (Merville Dairies, Hughes
Brother, Dublin Dairies and Sutton Dairies). Since then Premier has
been an iconic Dublin brand and packaging features one of Dublin's
most iconic landmarks - The Ha'Penny Bridge. For over 40 years
Premier Milk have been supplying the best quality milk across
Dublin and the surrounding areas. Much has changed in Dublin since
then but one thing remains constant, Premier Milk's dedication to
tradition, quality and local supply of milk.
One such local supplier is Padraig O'Scanaill. Dairy farming has
been in his family for three generations. It all started in the
1920s with Padraig's great grandmother, who delivered milk by horse
and cart to local residents in Swords. The family tradition was
then passed to his grandmother and continues to this day. In 1982
Padraig channelled his passion and love for farming by becoming one
of our dairy farmers. Today Padraig's herd of cows roam across his
fields in North County Dublin ensuring you get the best from every
glass of Premier Milk.
To celebrate 40 years of supplying the best quality milk to
Dublin consumers, Premier launched a new packaging design in
conjunction with an amazing consumer promotion, 'Rediscover
Dublin'. Premier made it as easy as possible for consumers to take
part in this consumer promotion. Consumers collected 10 tokens from
any new Premier milk packs to receive the 'Rediscover Dublin'
Booklet. The booklet included four '2 for 1' passes saving
consumers an amazing €40 while discovering the city they love so
well! The great news for consumers is the vouchers are valid until
August 2010, which gives them a full year to visit the fantastic
attractions across Dublin
Locations taking part in the promotion include; Viking Splash;
GAA museum; Dublin Zoo; The Fry Railway; James Joyce Museum;
Christchurch; Dublinia; Malahide Castle; Airfield Farm; Shaw
Birthplace and Liffey Cruises.
